Pick Up Screen: Introduction

Introduction

The Pick Up Screen feature in Centegra Plus is a user-friendly, browser-based solution offering a clear display to inform staff and customers when orders are ready for collection, ensuring accessibility from various devices for real-time updates.

Ideal for smaller operations, the Pick Up Screen enhances communication and speeds up the pickup process, making it an essential asset for smoother operations and convenience for both staff and customers.

Orders currently being prepared in the kitchen are listed in the Preparing column, showing the customer the order method, order reference, and (where applicable) the customer name.

Once an order has been marked as ready for collection, it will move to show in one of the custom pick-up point columns. 

Configuring The Pick Up Screen

Before accessing the Pick Up screen, you need to configure Pick Up Points. 

To do so: 

• Head to Company Settings > Site Setup > Pick Up Points. 
• Select [New Pick Up Point]
• Enter a Pick Up Point Name and select [Save].

You can then select [Edit] against the Pick Up Point in the list to apply customisable settings: 

• Pick Up Point Name: Adjust the name of the pick up point, if required. 
• Ticket Show Duration: Specify the number of minutes that orders show against this pick up point. 
• Max Tickets: Specify the maximum number of tickets allowed against this pick up point. 
• Enabled: Select to enable this pick up point on the pick up screen. 

You can also customise the pick up point header style using the [Pick Header Colour] and [Pick Font Colour] options. 

Select [Save Pick Up Point] to save any changes. 

If you need to remove a Pick Up Point from your site, simply access the Pick Up Point as covered above, select [Delete] and confirm the deletion. 

Accessing The Pick Up Screen

Once configured, the pick up screen for your site is accessed via a tokenised URL, typically bookmarked on your FOH device for easy access.

To access this URL initially: 

• Head to Company Settings > Site Setup > Pick Up Points. 
• Select [Open Pick Up Screen].

The pick up screen will open within your browser, where you can bookmark the URL for quicker access in the future. 

If you ever need to change this URL, simply return to the section above, select [Update Pick Up Screen Settings] and follow the prompts to refresh the URL.
