Introduction
Line check templates allow you to specify products to be included within Line Checks.
Products within line check templates can be marked as “Required” where applicable. A "Required" product within a line check template forces the user entering a line check to enter a count against that product before allowing the line check to be completed.
A line check template can either be specific to an individual site or it can be available to all sites.
Creating Line Check Templates
When creating a line check template, if the template should be available to all sites, ensure that you create the template whilst logged into the Head Office site; otherwise, log into the site that the template is for.
To create a line check template:
- Head to Period Management > Line Checks > Line Check Templates.
- Select [NEW LINE CHECK TEMPLATE].
Within the New Line Check Template window:
- Line Check Name: Enter a name for the template.
- Select [SAVE].
You'll be taken into the line check template.
To add products to the template, select [NEW TEMPLATE ITEM].
Within the new template item row:
- Product: Select the product from the list.
- Required: If a count is mandatory when entering line checks for the select product, select this.
Repeat until all products are added to the line check template.
Then select [SAVE LINE CHECK TEMPLATE].
Editing Line Check Templates
Line check templates can be edited without impacting on historical line checks that used the template. If editing a companywide line check template, log into the head office site; otherwise log into the site where the template is applicable.
To edit a line check template:
- Head to Period Management > Line Checks > Line Check Templates.
- Locate the required line check template and select [EDIT].
Within the line check template, against existing lines the following can be edited:
- Required: If a count is mandatory when entering line checks for the select product, select this.
Additionally, the order of existing products can be changed by using the drag-and-drop buttons on the row to reposition the products in the list.
Finally, new products can be added to the existing template by selecting [NEW TEMPLATE ITEM].
Within the new template item row:
- Product: Select the product from the list.
- Required: If a count is mandatory when entering line checks for the select product, select this.
Searching Line Check Templates
Access the Line Check Templates section via: Period Management > Line Checks > Line Check Templates.
All companywide line check templates as well as line check templates specific to the site that you are logged in to are shown by default when accessing this section.
There is no option to perform a search to narrow down the list in this section currently.
The line check templates list shows the following:
- Name: The name of the line check template.
- Created: The date that the line check template was created.
- Created By: The user that created the line check template.
Deleting Line Check Templates
A line check template can be deleted if no longer required.
You can only delete a line check template if you have rights to do so. Click Here if you do not have rights to delete but believe you should.
To delete a line check template:
- Head to Period Management > Line Checks > Line Check Templates.
- Locate the required line check template and select [EDIT].
Within the line check template:
- Select [DELETE].
- Confirm the deletion.
The line check template is now marked as deleted.
