Media: Create

Introduction

The method of creating a payment media depends on where the payment media is required.

If the payment media is required within a POS system, Click Here. 

If the payment media is not required within a POS system and is only required in Centegra Plus (e.g. for a sales integration or for Customer Orders), Click Here. 

Creating Payment Media Required Within A POS System

It is possible to create and configure a new POS payment media in Centegra Plus in advance of it being entered via the POS. You can do so following the steps in the Next Section, but it is essential that the name of the payment media in both the POS system and Centegra Plus match exactly for this method to work. Otherwise, if you would prefer to wait for the POS payment media to create automatically upon first being recognised in a sale from the POS that uses the new payment media, then follow the steps in this section. 

Once a POS payment media is automatically created in Centegra Plus, it must be assigned to a media type. To do this:

• Head to Company Settings > Payments > Media.
• Locate the required payment media and select [EDIT]. 

 Within the existing payment media, you can edit the following: 

• Media Type: Select the Media Type that the payment media is assigned to.  
• Customer Orders Enabled: If required, select this is the payment media is available to select when placing Customer Orders transactions. 

Select [SAVE MEDIA]

Creating Payment Media Required Only In Centegra Plus

To create a new payment media within Centegra Plus:

• Head to Company Settings > Payments > Media.
• Select [NEW MEDIA]. 

Within the New Media page, enter: 

• Media: Select an appropriate payment media from the list of default payment media available. If an appropriate payment is not available, select a payment media from those named through "NewMedia01" to "NewMedia12"; the name can be changed shortly. 
• Media Type: Select the Media Type that the payment media is assigned to.  
• Customer Orders Enabled: Select this is the payment media is available to select when placing Customer Orders transactions. 

Select [SAVE MEDIA].

If the selected payment media needs to be renamed: 

• Whilst still in payment media section, locate the new media and select [EDIT]. 
• Change the Name of the media. 
• Select [SAVE MEDIA].
