Introduction
Files can be tagged within File Manager.
You can then search for files that contain specific tags to make it easier to locate certain files.
The tags are managed via the file manager section.
Creating File Manager Tags
To create a new tag within file manager:
- Head to Company Settings > File Manager.
- Select the edit icon against the Tags header.
In the Tags section:
- Select [NEW].
- Enter a Name for the tag.
- Select [SAVE].
Repeat to add additional tags as required.
Once complete, select [BACK TO FILE MANAGER] to return to file manager.
Editing File Manager Tags
A tag can be renamed if required; note that this will update the name of the tag against files that the tag is already assigned to.
To edit an existing tag within file manager:
- Head to Company Settings > File Manager.
- Select the edit icon against the Tags header.
In the Tags section:
- Against the relevant tag, select [EDIT].
- The Name of the tag can be renamed.
- Select [SAVE].
Once complete, select [BACK TO FILE MANAGER] to return to file manager.
Deleting File Manager Tags
A tag can be deleted if no longer required, providing that it is not assigned to any file.
To delete a tag within file manager:
- Head to Company Settings > File Manager.
- Select the edit icon against the Tags header.
In the Tags section:
- Against the relevant tag, select [DELETE].
- Confirm the deletion.
This is a hard delete, so the deleted tag cannot be recovered.
Once complete, select [BACK TO FILE MANAGER] to return to file manager.
