The Stock Margins report carefully analyses the cost and revenue associated with each saleable product over the stock period, offering theoretical gross profit margins per product. This report provides detailed insights on an individual product basis, as well as aggregated data per stock count group and overall for all sales. By presenting a comprehensive view of profit margins, this report serves as a valuable tool for assessing product profitability and making informed decisions regarding pricing and sales strategies.
This report is available only to companies subscribed to the Inventory Management module.
This report can only be accessed at site level within individual stock periods.
Report Filters
The Stock Margins report displays data for all stock items within the time frame of a period, therefore there are no filters available when running this report.
To run the report:
- Access the relevant stock period.
- Select [STOCK MARGINS] in the Reports section.
Report Output
The Stock Margins report summarises theoretical product margins based on sales and the latest cost within the period, displaying:
Product (PLU) |
Displays the name and PLU of the product. |
Sale Qty |
Displays the quantity of that product sold. |
Net Sales |
Displays the total net sales the product shown. |
Average Net Sales |
Displays the average net sale price of the product shown. |
Theo Unit Cost |

Theo Total Cost |
Displays the theoretical cost of the product for sales during the period. |
Total GP |
Displays the theoretical margin for the product. |
GP % |
Displays the theoretical margin for the product as a percentage of sales. |
