Report Information
The Wastage Analysis report offers detailed insights into product wastage, helping you track trends over time and pinpoint where and why product losses are occurring. It only includes wastage entries marked as Approved, ensuring you're analysing verified data for accurate insights and smarter decision-making.
This report is available only to companies subscribed to the Inventory Management module.
Access the Wastage Analysis Report via: Reports & Analysis > Inventory Management > Wastage > Analysis.
The output of the report can very depending on the selected report filter options.
If required, this report can be created as a Saved Report and set up to send out periodically.

The table below summarises report filter options available for this report.

Select which stock type(s) to report on. If left blank, all stock types will be included. |

Report Output [Grouping Option: Wastage Product]
Level 1 - Wastage Product Summary
When report filter Grouping Option "Wastage Product" is selected, the first level of the report is a list of products wasted by users.

Displays the wasted products stock type. |
| Receiving Qty |
Displays the quantity of the products receiving unit size wasted. |

Displays the product size that the receiving quantity above is based on. |

Displays the quantity of the products stocking unit size wasted. |

Displays the product size that the stocking quantity above is based on. |
| Base Qty |
Displays the quantity of the products base unit size wasted. |

Level 2 - Ingredient Totals
When report filter Grouping Option "Wastage Product" is selected, the second level of the report details the ingredients being wasted as part of the selected product.

Report Output [Grouping Option: Individual Product]
Level 1 - Individual Product Summary
When report filter Grouping Option "Individual Product" is selected, the first level of the report is a list of ingredient products wasted either directly by users, or wasted as a result of being within a recipe product that has been wasted by users.

Level 2 - Wasted Product Summary
When report filter Grouping Option "Individual Product" is selected, the second level of the report is a list of the products that were wasted by users which resulted in the component product in Level 1 being wasted.

Level 3 - Wastage Declarations
When report filter Grouping Option "Individual Product" is selected, the third level of the report is a record of the individual wastage records declared for the selected product.
