The Recipe Products report furnishes detailed information regarding the composition and cost of Recipe type products. Additionally, for companies utilising the Product Preparations feature, this report extends its coverage to include details on Preparation and Made type products too. Offering a comprehensive overview, the report serves as a valuable resource for understanding the intricacies of product formulation and cost.
This report is available only to companies subscribed to the Inventory Management module.
Report Filters
Access the Recipe Products Report via: Reports & Analysis > Inventory Management > Recipe Products.
Select the required report parameter options from:
| Select Sites |
Select which sites and/or site groups to include in the report. |
| Saleable |
Select whether to include only saleable recipes, non-saleable recipes, or both. |
| Stock Types |
Select which recipe stock types to include in the report. |
| Product Groups |
Select which product groups to include. If left blank, all groups will be included. |
Report Output
The Recipe Products report has multiple levels:
Level 1 - Recipe Costs & Margins
The first level of the Recipe Products report summaries each recipes cost and margin at each site, displaying:

Displays the name of the product. |
| Stock Type |
Displays the recipe product stock type. |
| Code (PLU) |
Displays the products code and PLU number. |
| Unit Name |
Displays the product size that the Cost below is based on. |
| Cost |
Displays the products cost. The cost is based on the last cost of each ingredient within the site. For more information on costs, Click Here. |
| Net Sales |
Displays the products default net sales price. |
| Gross Profit |
Displays the gross profit as a percentage of the net sales price. |
Level 2+ - Recipe Components
The second level of the Recipe Products report lists the components that make up the recipe, displaying:

Displays the name of the ingredient product. |
| Stock Type |
Displays the ingredient product stock type. |
| Code (PLU) |
Displays the products code and PLU number. |
| Unit Name |
Displays the product size that the Cost and Quantity below is based on. |
| Quantity |
Displays the quantity of the ingredient product within the recipe product. |
| Cost |
Displays the products cost. The cost is based on the last cost of each ingredient within the site. For more information on costs, Click Here. |
If the stock type is either Recipe, Preparation or Made in Level 2, the report can further be expanded to see the ingredients that make up that recipe, and so on. As a Supplied type product has no ingredients, no further expansion is required.
