The Preparation Summary report furnishes a comprehensive overview of the production activities related to products categorised under the Preparation type declared via the Product Preparations feature, offering valuable insights into the production processes and resulting product yields.
This report is available only to companies subscribed to the Inventory Management module.
For companies with multiple sites, the information provided is consolidated for all selected sites.
If required, this report can be created as a Saved Report and set up to send out periodically.
Report Filters
Access the Preparation Summary report via: Reports & Analysis > Inventory Management > Preparation Summary.
Select the required report parameter options from:

Select which date range to include preparation records for. |
Report Output
The Preparation Summary report is split into 2 sections:
Section 1 - Product Summary
The first section of the Preparation Summary report provides an overview of production, per product, within the report date range, displaying:
| Made Product |
Displays the Preparation type product being made within product preparation declarations. |
| Made Qty |
Displays the quantity of the Made Product created in product preparation declarations. |
| Size |
Displays the product recipe size that the Made Qty above is based on. |
| Used Product |
Displays the ingredient product being used to make the resulting Made product within product preparation declarations. |
| Used Qty |
Displays the quantity of the Used Product used in product preparation declarations. |
| Size |
Displays the product pack size that the Used Qty above is based on. |
| Yield Exp. |
The expected production yield, based on the product recipe. |
| Actual |
The actual product yield, based on product preparation declarations. |
| Yield Variance |
The difference between expected yield and the actual yield. |
| Cost |
The cost of the yield variance. |
Section 2 - Daily Summary
The section section of the Preparation Summary report provides the same information as in Section 1, however the data is split by sales date to provide an overview per day.
