Report Information
The Movements Analysis report provides a detailed breakdown of all stock movements over a selected period. Available in the Inventory Management reports section or within individual stock periods, this report offers flexible access to track stock changes and improve inventory management.
This report is available only to companies subscribed to the Inventory Management module.
Access the Movements Analysis Report either via:
- Reports & Analysis > Inventory Management > Movements Analysis.
- Within the Reports section of a stock period, select [STOCK MOVEMENTS ANALYSIS].
The output of the report can very depending on the selected report filter options.
If required, this report can be created as a Saved Report and set up to send out periodically.

Select which groups to include. |
| Date Range |
Select which date range to include stock movements for. (If a Period is shown, dates must be within the period date range.) |
| Analysis Style |
Select whether to analyse the stock movements as either a:

| Displays Values In |
Select whether to view movement quantities based on the products Displays Size or based on the products smallest Base Size. |
Report Output [Analysis Style: Detailed Full Transaction List]
Level 1 - Product Summary
When report filter Analysis Style "Detailed Full Transaction List" is selected, the first level of the report is an overview of movement totals in and out of site within the selected date range.

Displays the product name and PLU number. |

Displays the product quantity moved into site within the date range. |

Displays the product quantity moved out of site within the date range. |

Level 2 - Stock Movements List
When report filter Analysis Style "Detailed Full Transaction List" is selected, the second level of the report is a list of individual stock movements in chronological order for the selected product.

Displays the date and time of the stock movement. |

Displays the Stock Movement Type. |
| Move Ref |
Displays a reference for the stock movement. |
| Source From |
Displays the original product that generated the movement. This may be the current product itself, or a recipe containing the current product. |
| Source Size |
Displays the product size that the Source Qty below is based on. |
| Source Qty |
Displays the quantity of the original product moved, that resulted in the movement of the current product. |
| Size |
Displays the product pack size that the Qty and Cost below are based on. |
| Cost Per |
Displays the cost of a single unit of the product pack size above shown. For more information on costs, Click Here. |
| Qty |
Displays the quantity of the current product that moved into or out of the site, based on the product pack size above shown. |
| Balance |
Displays a running balance of the stock level for the current product. |
Report Output [Analysis Style: Summary With Drill Down]
Level 1 - Product Summary
When report filter Analysis Style "Summary With Drill Down" is selected, the first level of the report is an overview of movement totals in and out of site within the selected date range.

Level 3 - Stock Movements Per Source Product
When report filter Analysis Style "Summary With Drill Down" is selected, the third level of the report summarises the movement totals based on the source product, where applicable.

Level 4 - Stock Movements List
When report filter Analysis Style "Summary With Drill Down" is selected, the fourth level of the report lists the individual stock movements which occurred as a result of the source product being moved.

Displays the ID of the record that resulted in the stock movement. This column depends on the Stock Movement Type. |

Displays the product size that the From Qty below is based on. |
| From Qty |
Displays the quantity of the original product moved, that resulted in the movement of the current product. |

Displays the product pack size that the Qty and Cost below are based on. |
