The Movements Analysis report delivers in-depth details on all stock movements over a specified period. Accessible within the Inventory Management reports section, this report offers granular insights. Additionally, users can access it via individual stock periods, tailoring the analysis to specifically focus on stock movements during an inventory period. This dual accessibility enhances flexibility and ensures a nuanced understanding of stock dynamics for effective inventory management.
This report is available only to companies subscribed to the Inventory Management module.
For companies with multiple sites, the information provided is only for the site that you are logged in to.
If required, this report can be created as a Saved Report and set up to send out periodically.
Report Filters
Access the Movements Analysis Report either via:
- Reports & Analysis > Inventory Management > Movements Analysis.
- Within the Reports section of a stock period, select [STOCK MOVEMENTS ANALYSIS].
Select the required report parameter options from:

Select which date range to include stock movements for. (If a Period is shown, dates must be within the period date range.) |

Select whether to view movement quantities based on the products Displays Size or based on the products smallest Base Size. |

The output of the Movements Analysis report depends on the Analysis Style filter selected:
Analysis Style: Detailed Full Transaction List
When run with Analysis Style Detailed Full Transaction List, the Movements Analysis report has two levels:
Level 1 - Product Summary
The first level of the Movements Analysis report when run with Analysis Style Detailed Full Transaction List is a list of movement totals by product, displaying:

Level 2 - Stock Movements List
The second level of the Movements Analysis report when run with Analysis Style Detailed Full Transaction List is a list of individual stock movements in chronological order, displaying:

Displays the date and time of the stock movement. |
| Type |
Displays the Stock Movement Type. |
| Move Ref |
Displays a reference for the stock movement. |
| Source From |
Displays the original product that generated the movement. This may be the current product itself, or a recipe containing the current product. |
| Source Size |
Displays the product size that the Source Qty below is based on. |
| Source Qty |
Displays the quantity of the original product moved, that resulted in the movement of the current product. |
| Size |
Displays the product pack size that the Qty and Cost below are based on. |
| Cost Per |
Displays the cost of a single unit of the product pack size above shown. For more information on costs, Click Here. |
| Qty |
Displays the quantity of the current product that moved into or out of the site, based on the product pack size above shown. |
| Balance |
Displays a running balance of the stock level for the current product. |
Analysis Style: Summary With Drill Down
When run with Analysis Style Summary With Drill Down, the Movements Analysis report has four levels:
- Level 1 - Product Summary
- Level 2 - Stock Movements Per Type
- Level 3 - Stock Movements Per Source Product
- Level 4 - Stock Movements List
Level 1 - Product Summary
The first level of the Movements Analysis report when run with Analysis Style Summary With Drill Down is a list of movement totals by product, displaying:

The third level of the Movements Analysis report when run with Analysis Style Summary With Drill Down is a list stock movements totals per source product(that initiated the movement, for the selected stock movement type, displaying:

Displays the quantity of the original product moved, that resulted in the movement of the current product. |

Level 4 - Stock Movements List
The fourth level of the Movements Analysis report when run with Analysis Style Summary With Drill Down is a list of the individual stock movements which occurred as a result of the source product being moved, displaying:

Displays the date and time of the stock movement. |
| <Type ID> |
Displays the ID of the record that resulted in the stock movement. This column depends on the Stock Movement Type. |
| From Product |
Displays the original product that generated the movement. This may be the current product itself, or a recipe containing the current product. |
| From Size |
Displays the product size that the From Qty below is based on. |
| From Qty |
Displays the quantity of the original product moved, that resulted in the movement of the current product. |
