The Product List report presents a detailed compilation of products along with their assigned product groups. Beyond its informational value, this report offers a convenient functionality to update product group assignments efficiently. It serves as a practical resource for managing and organising product information, providing a streamlined process for ensuring up-to-date product group assignments.
To update products via this report, you need Update rights to this report within your user role. (If you don't have Update rights, Click Here.)
For companies with multiple sites, the report generated is specific to the products, so can be run against any site.
Report Filters
Access the Product List report via: Reports & Analysis > Data > Product List.
Select the required report parameter options from:
Product Groups |
Select which product groups to include. If left blank, all groups will be included. |
Attributes |
If required, select product attributes to return only products assigned to those attributes. If left blank, all products will be included. |
Merchant |
For multi-merchant companies only, select which merchant to return products for. If left blank, products from all merchants will be included. (Only lists POS merchants associated with the site, unless logged into the HQ site where all merchants are listed.) |
Report Output
The Product List report is a table containing four columns, displaying:
Product ID |
Displays the products unique ID. Select this to view the product. |
Product (PLU) |
Displays the products name and it’s unique PLU number. |
Master Group |
Displays the master group that the product group shown is assigned to, along with the super group name in brackets. |
Product Group |
Displays the group that the product is assigned to. |
To update the group assigned to the product:
- Select the new Product Master Group that the product should be assigned to. The super group that the master group belongs to is shown in brackets against each master group for reference.
- This will then refresh the Product Groups list where you can then select the new group that the product should be assigned to.
- When you click/tab out of the field, the border will change to green to indicate that the product group change has been saved.
