Report Information
The Transaction Media report provides a comprehensive overview of sales over a specified period, including terminal sales, day part sales, price level sales, payment methods, and product group totals. Often used as an end-of-day report, it consolidates key sales metrics into a clear summary, making it a valuable tool for reviewing daily transactions and performance.
Access the Transaction Media report via: Reports & Analysis > Sales > Transaction Media.
The output of the report can very depending on the selected report filter options.
If required, this report can be created as a Saved Report and set up to send out periodically.
Information on report filter options
The table below summarises report filter options available for this report.
| Select Sites |
Select which sites and/or site groups to include in the report. |
| Date Range |
Select which date range to include sales for. |
| Tills |
Select which till(s) to include in the report. If left blank, all tills will be included. |
| View Sales Summary By |
Select whether to see product group totals based on Stock Group, Master Group or Super Group. |
| Show Detailed |
Select this if you wish to run the report in expanded format, displaying a media summary and transaction summary per individual terminal in Section 4. |

Section 1 - Transaction Overview
The first section of the report displays an summary of transaction information.

Displays the time of first transaction within the selected date range. |
| Last Transaction |
Displays the time of last transaction within the selected date range. |
| Min Transaction ID |
Displays the lowest transaction ID within the selected date range. |
| Max Transaction ID |
Displays the highest transaction ID within the selected date range. |
| Total Covers |
If relevant, displays the total number of covers within transactions. |
| No Sales |
If relevant, displays the total number of No Sales entered at the POS. |
| Total Transactions |
Displays the total number of transactions entered. |
Section 2 - Day Part Sales
If custom Reporting Day Parts are configured for your site, the second section of the report is a summary of sales per day part.

If relevant, displays the total number of covers for each day part. |

Section 3 - Price Level Sales
The third section of the report is a summary of sales per price level.

Displays the total tax value. |
Section 4 - Till Totals
The fourth section of the report is a summary of sales per till. If the Show Detailed filter option is selected, additional information per individual till is provided.

Displays the number of transactions assigned to each till. |

Displays the total gross sale value. (Excludes discount.) |

Displays the total tax value. |
If the Show Details filter has been selected, this section also shows a sub-section for each till displaying the same detail as in the Media Summary and Terminal Summary sections.
Section 5 - Payments Received
The fifth section of the report is a summary of payments received.

Section 6 - Product Sales Summary
The sixth section of the report is a summary of sales per group, where the group level shown is dependent on the Show Sales Summary By filter option selected.
