Uncover the big picture of your sales landscape with the Product Group Sales report, offering a succinct summary of sales organised by product groups using your Centegra Plus Grouping Hierarchy. But let's take it a step further – you have the option to explore daily nuances with the breakdown of sales for each group. This report provides a strategic overview, allowing you to assess the collective performance of product groups and dive into the daily dynamics that shape your sales narrative.
For companies with multiple sites, this can be split per site or can be consolidated for all sites.
If required, this report can be created as a Saved Report and set up to send out periodically.
Report Filters
Access the Product Groups Sales report via: Reports & Analysis > Sales > Price Product Group Sales.
Select the required report parameter options from:
Select Sites |
Select which sites and/or site groups to include in the report. |
Date Range |
Select which date range to include sales for. |
Product Groups |
Select which product groups to include. If left blank, all groups will be included. |

Select whether to view the report as:

The output of the Product Group Sales report depends on the Analysis Style filter selected:
Analysis Style: Consolidated
The Product Group Sales report when run with with Analysis Style Consolidated has multiple levels:
- First Level - Selected Group Sales
- Further Levels (If Applicable) - Sub-Group Sales
- Final Level - Product Sales
First Level - Selected Group Sales
When Analysis Style Consolidated is selected, the first level of the Product Group Sales report is a summary of group sales within the selected date range, displaying:

Displays the name of the group. |
RRP Net |
Displays the net sale value of those same products before the discount was applied. |
Discount Net |
Displays the total discount value. |
Net Sales |
Displays the total net sale value. (Excludes discount and tax.) |
Sales Tax |
Displays the total tax value. |
Gross |
Displays the total gross sale value. (Excludes discount.) |
Quantity |
Displays the quantity of products within the group sold. |
Average Net |
Displays the average net sale price of products sold within the group. |
Sales % |
Displays the proportion of sales within this section that are allocated to the group shown. |
Further Levels (If Applicable) - Sub-Group Sales
Depending on the Group By filter option selected, the report can further be expanded to see totals at other group levels. For example, in the image below, the report shows Super Group sales first, then Master Groups sales, then Product Group sales.
Final Level - Product Sales
When Analysis Style Consolidated is selected, the final level of the Product Group Sales report provides the same information, but broken down by individual product sold within the selected product group.
Analysis Style: By Date & Group
The Product Group Sales report when run with with Analysis Style By Date & Group has multiple levels:
- First Level - Selected Group Sales
- Further Levels (If Applicable) - Sub-Group Sales
- Final Level - Product Sales
First Level - Selected Group Sales
When Analysis Style By Date & Group is selected, the first level of the Product Group Sales report is a summary of group sales within the selected date range, spit by sales date, displaying:
