Report Information
Get a clear view of your sales performance with the Average Sales report, which provides a daily snapshot of key sales metrics per day. You can also dive deeper into any specific date to see a more detailed breakdown by the hour, half-hour, or even quarter-hour to spot trends and gain valuable insights.
Access the Average Sales report via: Reports & Analysis > Sales > Average Sales.
The output of the report can very depending on the selected report filter options.
If required, this report can be created as a Saved Report and set up to send out periodically.

The table below summarises report filter options available for this report.
Pick By | Use the toggle to select either:

Date Range | Select which date range to include sales for. |
View Type | Select whether to view the report as:

Time Period | Select to breakdown the detailed view as either 15, 30 or 60 minute slots. |
Average Sale Type | Select whether to view the average sale values as a Gross or Net figure, or Both. |
Show Detailed | Select this if you wish to run the report in expanded format, displaying the time period detail. If not selected, summary data is shown, and you can expand into detail as required. |
Price Levels | Select which price level(s) to report on. If left blank, all price levels will be included. |

Level 1 - Daily Summary
The first level of the Average Sales report is a summary of sales per date.

The table below summarises the data shown in each column of this report view.
Sale Date | Displays the Sales Date that the sales are assigned to. |
Customer Count | Displays the Customer Count on the sales date shown. |
Covers | Displays the number of covers declared on the date shown, if applicable. |
Average Sale Price | Displays the average sale value based on the customer count. |
Quantity | Displays the quantity of products sold. |
Gross | Displays the total gross sale value. (Excludes discount.) |
Net | Displays the total net sale value. (Excludes discount and tax.) |
Tax | Displays the total tax value. |
Discount | Displays the total discount value. |
Percent Sales | Displays the proportion of sales, per date, across the entire report. |

Level 2 - Time-Slot Summary
The second level of the Average Sales report displays the same information as per Level 1, but per time-slot for the selected date based on the Time Period filter option selected.
