Introduction

Against all products within Centegra Plus, you can assign allergens and/or basic nutritional information. This article outlines the process of assigning allergens and nutritional values to products. For details on how to view existing allergen assignment, Click Here.

The allergens available to assign to a product are based on the allergens that are typically required to be identified throughout the industry. If an allergen that you require is missing, Contact Centegra.

Product Allergens

Adding Allergens To Products

To assign an allergen against a product: 

• Head to Product Management > Products, locate the product and select [EDIT] then [PRODUCT]. 
• Select the Allergens & Nutrition tab. 

Within the Allergens section of this tab: 

• Select [ADD ALLERGEN]. 
• Select the allergen from the list of those available. 
• Select [SAVE].

The allergen is now assigned to the product.

Allergen Inheritance 

For companies using the Inventory Management module, allergens assigned to a product are automatically inherited by other recipes that use the product as an ingredient. The Source ingredient product where an allergen is inherited from is available within the products Allergens & Nutrition tab. 

Unlike an allergen directly assigned to a product, an allergen that is inherited from another product based on recipe configuration cannot be removed. It must be removed from the source product. 

Checking Allergens Against Products

Within the Allergens & Nutrition tab of a product, you can also view all allergens assigned to the individual product, and the [ALLERGENS CHECKED] button can be used to date-stamp when the allergens were last confirmed as being correct for the product. 

Product Nutritional Information

Against any product within Centegra Plus, you can assign the products certain nutritional values. Typically, these are assigned against products included within menus as part of the Menu Management module. 

To assign nutritional information against a product: 

• Head to Product Management > Products, locate the product and select [EDIT] then [PRODUCT]. 
• Select the Allergens & Nutrition tab.
• Enter the following values as required:
  • Kcals
  • Kj
• Select [SAVE].

Product Dietary Tags

Against any product within Centegra Plus, you can assign certain dietary tags. Typically, these are assigned against products included within menus as part of the Menu Management module, for menu destinations that support any of the available options.

To assign dietary tags against a product: 

• Head to Product Management > Products, locate the product and select [EDIT] then [PRODUCT]. 
• Select the Allergens & Nutrition tab.
• Select the relevant checkboxes from the list of those provided.
• Select [SAVE].
