Explore the versatility of the Inventory Management module, where recipe adjustments become a powerful tool for refining product recipes under specific circumstances.
When a recipe adjustment is in play and the designated conditions are met, both the original recipe and the supplementary adjustments seamlessly come into effect. Consequently, stock movements tied to the original recipe are still generated, but the adjustment recipe acts as a counterbalance, ensuring precision and flexibility in your inventory management

Assigning Recipe Adjustments
There are three types of recipe adjustments available:
- Price Level Recipe Adjustments
- Location Recipe Adjustments
- Prices Level & Location Recipe Adjustments
Price Level Recipe Adjustments
Price level recipe adjustments adjust a recipe when a product is sold against a specified price level, or all price levels assigned to a specified price level type.
Examples include:
- Removing take out packaging when a product is sold on an eat in price level.
- Swapping take out packaging for delivery packaging when a product is sold on a delivery platform.
To assign a price level recipe adjustment, first, if it does not already exist, Create A Standard Recipe Product to reflect the ingredients that should be applied in addition to the original recipe. (This can contain negative values, if required.)
Once this recipe exists, access the recipe product that the recipe adjustment will be assigned to:
- Head to Product Management > Products.
- Locate the required product, then select [EDIT] then [PRICE LEVEL RECIPE ADJUSTMENTS].
Then link the recipe adjustment to the recipe product:
- Select [NEW PRICE LEVEL RECIPE ADJUSTMENT]
- Select the Price Level Type and Price Level where the adjustment will be be applicable.
- Select the Additional Recipe Product that should be applied when the conditions above are met.
Select [SAVE] to apply the recipe adjustment.
Location Recipe Adjustments
Location recipe adjustments adjust a recipe when a product is sold at a certain location, or all locations assigned to a specified site.
Examples include:
- Regional recipe variations.
- Trialling a different recipe or ingredient against an existing product at a specific location.
To assign a location recipe adjustment, first, if it does not already exist, Create A Standard Recipe Product to reflect the ingredients that should be applied in addition to the original recipe. (This can contain negative values, if required.)
Then access the product that the recipe adjustment will be assigned to:
- Head to Product Management > Products.
- Locate the required product, then select [EDIT] then [LOCATION RECIPE ADJUSTMENTS].
Then link the recipe adjustment to the recipe product:
- Select [NEW LOCATION RECIPE ADJUSTMENT]
- Select the Site and Location where the adjustment will be be applicable.
- Select the Additional Recipe Product that should be applied when the conditions above are met.
Select [SAVE] to apply the recipe adjustment.
Prices & Location Recipe Adjustments
Price & location recipe adjustments adjust a recipe when a product is sold against a specified price level at a specific location.
Examples include:
- Adding take out packaging when a product is sold on a take out price level, at a specific location.
To assign a price & location recipe adjustment, first, if it does not already exist, Create A Standard Recipe Product to reflect the ingredients that should be applied in addition to the original recipe. (This can contain negative values, if required.)
Then access the product that the recipe adjustment will be assigned to:
- Log into the site that contains the location requiring the recipe adjustment.
- Head to Product Management > Products.
- Locate the required product, then select [EDIT] then [PRICE & LOCATION RECIPE ADJUSTMENTS].
Then link the recipe adjustment to the recipe product:
- Select [NEW PRICE & LOCATION RECIPE ADJUSTMENT]
- Select the Price Level and Location where the adjustment will be be applicable.
- Select the Additional Recipe Product that should be applied when the conditions above are met.
Select [SAVE] to apply the recipe adjustment.
Viewing Recipe Adjustments
You can view recipe adjustments assigned to recipe products either:
Via The Recipe Adjustments Report
You can view all recipe adjustments applied within your product database in once place by using the Recipe Adjustments report.

Via The Individual Product
To view recipe adjustments assigned to an individual product:
- Head to Product Management > Products.
- Locate the required product, then select [EDIT] then select either:
- [PRICE LEVEL RECIPE ADJUSTMENTS]
- [LOCATION RECIPE ADJUSTMENTS]
- [PRICE & LOCATION RECIPE ADJUSTMENTS]
Depending on the recipe adjustment type, this section will list the details where the adjustment recipe is applicable, and will list the Additional Recipe Product that is applied in addition to the original recipe when those conditions shown are met.
