Pairing the Device to iPad
- Select the iPad Settings app
- Select Bluetooth from the left-hand menu
- Turn the Bluetooth ON in the Bluetooth iPad’s settings by pressing the greyed-out button at the top right next to Bluetooth, which turn green to indicate it is on and will begin searching for Bluetooth devices.
- Turn your receipt printer ON by holding the power button for 3 seconds
- The top 3 middle lights on the printer will turn static blue temporarily then turn to a static green light on the right
- You should be prompted on the iPad automatically to enter a pin, enter “0000” and select Pair at the top right.
- If presented with the “Pairing is Unsuccessful” message, or the process doesn’t happen automatically, you can select on the discovered device instead within your Bluetooth settings
- If successful, you should now see your printer in the My Devices list with “Connected” to the right.
Pairing the Device within Silver
- Open and login to the NCR Silver app, select the three lines at the top left and select Settings
- Select Receipt Printers
- Select Add Receipt Printer and give it some time load.
- Under Automatic Discovery you should be able to see the connected BIXOLON Select IDENTIFY to confirm it is the correct printer you wish to use, and your printer will print out a small message to confirm.
- Once confirmed select BIXOLON printer by touching corresponding arrow on the right
- Under Printer Settings give your printer a name.
- Select Print Test Receipt to confirm connection and your printer will print a confirmation message.
- Select Set As Default if this is your default printer for this device, which will be indicated by a green tick (and is indicated later by a star symbol next to the name)
- Select Done at the top right to save these settings.
- You can then select <Settings and then Close at the top left to go back.
- Now do a test print from an order to see if it working as it should.
