Create The Cash Event
To create a cash event:
- Head to Revenue Management > Cash Events > Cash Events.
- Select [NEW CASH EVENT].
In the New Cash Event window:
- Cash Event Template: Select the Cash Event Template to use. (Once selected, a description of what the template is used for is shown to help check that the correct template was selected.)
- Amount: Enter the amount of cash being declared in this event.
- Date & Time: Select the date and time that the event took place.
- Reference: Enter a reference for the cash event, if applicable.
Then select [CREATE].
Approve The Cash Event
Once the cash event has been created, check that all details are correct as per the selected template.
To approve the cash event, select [APPROVE].
This will progress the cash event to Approved state and will:
- Create a transaction, if the template is enabled for Till Media Movement.
- Create a cash movement, if the template is enabled for Account Movement.
- Create a bank deposit, if the template is enabled for Bank Deposit Movement.
If you are not quite ready to approve the cash event just yet, select [SAVE] to save the cash event in Pending state, and return later to approve it.
