Introduction
As part of the Cash Events feature within Centegra Plus, cash event templates are required to specify what should happen when the cash event is declared.
Cash event templates are specific to each site
Creating Cash Event Templates
To create a cash event template at a site:
- Head to Revenue Management > Cash Events > Cash Event Templates.
- Select [NEW CASH EVENT TEMPLATE].
Enter the cash event template details as covered in the Next Section.
Editing Cash Event Templates
To edit an existing cash event template:
- Head to Revenue Management > Cash Events > Cash Event Templates.
- Locate the required cash event template and select [EDIT].
Enter Cash Event Template Details
Within the cash event template, enter the following:
- Template Name: Enter a name for the template.
- Description: Enter a description of what the template is used for.
- Create Default Date: Select the default date that shows when creating a cash event.
- Max State Allowed: If applicable, select a cash event state to restrict access to the cash event. If defined, this cash event template can only be used by users assigned to a User Role with the selected max state defined or higher. (Leave blank if no restrictions.)
Select Cash Event Actions
Next, select which actions are required within the cash event template by selecting:
- Till Media Movement: To create a zero value transaction against a specified till, which exchanges one payment media for another payment media.
- Account Movement: Creates a Cash Movement between two specified accounts.
- Bank Deposit: Creates a Bank Deposit from a specified Cash account to a specified Bank account.
Configure Cash Event Actions
This step depend on which action(s) are selected within the cash event template:
Once the relevant settings are defined as covered below, select [SAVE].
Till Media Movement
If the Include Till Media Movement option is enabled, within the Till Media Movement Details section you must specify:
- The Till within the site that the cash event transaction should record against.
- The Media Out payment type. I.e. the payment media that will generate a negative value.
- The Media In payment type. I.e. the payment media that will generate a positive value.
Account Movement
If the Include Account Movement option is enabled, within the Account Movement Details section you must specify:
- The From Account. I.e. the site Cash or Bank account where cash will be moved out from.
- The To Account. I.e. the site Cash account where cash will be moved in to.
Bank Deposit Details
If the Include Bank Deposit option is enabled, within the Bank Deposit Details section you must specify:
- The From Account. I.e. the site Cash account where cash will be moved out from.
- The To Account. I.e. the site Bank account where cash will be moved in to.
Searching Cash Event Templates
Access the the Cash Event Templates section via: Revenue Management > Cash Events > Cash Event Templates.
All cash event templates for the site are shown by default when accessing this section.
There is no option to perform a search to narrow down the list in this section currently.
The cash event templates list shows the following:
- Cash Event Name: Displays the name of the cash event template.
Deleting Cash Event Templates
A sites cash event template can be deleted if no longer required.
You can only delete a cash event template if you have rights to do so. Click Here if you do not have rights to delete but believe you should.
To delete a cash event template:
- Head to Revenue Management > Cash Events > Cash Event Templates.
- Locate the required cash event template and select [EDIT].
Within the cash event template:
- Select [DELETE].
- Confirm the deletion.
The cash event template is now deleted.
This is a hard delete, so the balance cash event template cannot be recovered.
