If you see the message below then it means that the PiKS is unable to communicate to the Master PiKS and therefore is not able to receive commands to process any tickets, this can occur on one PiKS or multiple PiKS depending on the cause of the issue.
If this occurs on one PiKS then it is likely due to a network related problem such as a damaged ethernet cable or an issue with the local network such as the IP address the PiKS was using is no longer available.
Restarting the unit will mostly likely not solve the problem and replacing the ethernet cable is advised.
If the message remains after changing the cable, please contacting Centegra Support would be able to advise further.
If this message occurs on all PiKS units than it means that there is a problem with the local network that is effecting every device such as a lost in internet/broadband or there is a problem with the master PiKS and the other units aren’t able to communication to the master.
Please contact Centegra Support who will be able to identify the issue and are able to swap the Master PiKS to another unit to resume normal operation.
Changing Network cable
If you are having an issue with the PiKS not connecting to your local network this can be caused by a faulty Ethernet cable which is plugged in to the Ethernet port on the side of the PiKS.
Please see picture below, left is for PiKS screen and right is for PiKS box.
When replacing an Ethernet cable on a PiKS make sure to pinch the top connection as there is a small clip that allows the cable to remain, if this is forced out it can cause damage to the unit.
Once you have removed the Ethernet cable from the PiKS you will need to follow the cable to where it leads, this is normally to a network switch or wall port and once found pitch the clip to remove the cable, make note of where this is connected too.
Once the old cable is removed take your new cable and push it into the same socket, you should hear a click when it has been inserted. Plug this into same ports you that removed the old cable from.
Once the new cable has been plugged in, restart the PiKS by turning it off and on at the wall.
