Products within Centegra Plus can be marked as deleted if no longer required.
Marking a product as deleted is simply a way of archiving it. The product isn't truly deleted; it is simply hidden away in the background, so can be recovered in the future if needed. This allows you to keep a clean product database containing only active products, whilst retaining the relationship between historical data and old products.
You can only delete a product if you have rights to do so. Click Here if you do not have rights to delete but believe you should.
For companies using the Inventory Management module, a product can only be marked as deleted if stock type Other. For more information, Click Here.
To delete a product:
- Head to Product Management > Products
- Locate the required product and select [EDIT] then [PRODUCT].
Within the product:
- Select [DELETE].
- Confirm the deletion.
The product is now marked as deleted.
As this is a soft delete, the product can be recovered if required. To do so, locate the product (ensuring that the Show Deleted search filter is set to "Yes") and access the product record again. Select [UNDELETE] and confirm the recovery. The product is now available again.
