Although it may be possible to suspended product from sale using the destination providers tablet or back office platform, it is also possible to suspend a product across multiple menu destinations, for multiple locations, via the Product Suspensions section of Centegra Plus too.
To suspend a product:
- Head to Menu Management > Product Suspensions.
- Select [NEW PRODUCT SUSPENSION].
In the Create New Product Suspension window:
- Product Name: Select which product(s) to suspend.
- Location(s): Select which location(s) to suspend the product at.
- Menu Destination(s): Select which destination(s) to suspend the product on.
- Start Time: Select when to suspend the product from.
- End Time: Select when to suspend the product to. (This can be edited later, if needed.)
Then select either:
- [APPROVE] - To post the product suspension to the selected menu destination(s).
- [CREATE] - To save the product suspension in Pending state to approve later.
The product suspensions will show individually at the top of the product suspensions list like so:
Once in Approved state, the Suspension API Status will display as In Progress until the product suspension is posted to the menu destination. It should then show Success to confirm that the product suspension has reached the menu destination.
If required, the End Time can be edited if the product becomes available sooner than expected, or if the product needs to be suspended for longer than first anticipated.
After editing the End Time, an update is immediately sent to the menu destination to update the new end time on the menu.
Once the product suspension End Time has passed, the state will automatically update from Approved to Completed to essentially archive the suspension record.
