Introduction
Transfer reporting reasons can be used to track the reasons for Stock Transfers taking place.
You can manage a list of transfer reporting reasons that users can select when creating stock transfers. The selected transfer reporting reason then shows alongside the stock transfer within stock transfer reports.
By default, transfer reporting reasons are optional, but within the Site Setup of each site you can specify whether transfer reasons are:
- Optional - Transfer reporting reasons are not enforced.
- Required - Transfer reporting reasons are enforced for all stock transfers.
- External Only - Transfer reporting reasons are enforced only for External stock transfers.
Creating Transfer Reporting Reasons
To create a stock transfer reporting reason:
- Head to Inventory Management > Transfers > Transfer Reasons.
- Select [NEW TRANSFER REASON].
Within the New Transfer Reason window:
- Transfer Reason: Enter a name for the transfer reason.
Select [CREATE TRANSFER REASON].
The transfer reason is then available to select within stock transfers.
Editing Transfer Reporting Reasons
To edit a stock transfer reporting reason:
- Head to Inventory Management > Transfers > Transfer Reasons.
- Locate the required transfer reporting reason and select [EDIT].
Within the Edit Transfer Reason window:
- Transfer Reason: Enter a name for the transfer reason.
Select [SAVE TRANSFER REASON].
Searching Transfer Reporting Reasons
Access Transfer Reasons via: Inventory Management > Transfers > Transfer Reasons.
All transfer reasons are shown by default when accessing this section. There is no option to perform a search to narrow down the list in this section currently.
The transfer reasons list shows the following:
- Transfer Reason: The name of the transfer reporting reason.
Deleting Transfer Reporting Reasons
A transfer reason can be deleted if no longer required.
You can only delete a transfer reason if you have rights to do so. Click Here if you do not have rights to delete but believe you should.
To delete a transfer reason:
- Head to Inventory Management > Transfers > Transfer Reasons.
- Locate the required transfer reason and select [EDIT].
Within the transfer reason:
- Select [DELETE].
- Confirm the deletion.
The transfer reason is now marked as deleted.
This is a soft delete, so the transfer reason can be recovered if required. Contact Centegra should you need a transfer reason recovering.
