Introduction
For sites subscribed to the Revenue Management module, at the end of every period you must declare a count for each Cash, Control and/or Float type account within your site.
The count declaration entered should be based on the date and time that the period ends.
Entering a count for each cash account within the period:
- Highlights any cash account variances.
- Updates the balance of each account at the start of the next period based on the count.
Cash counts are entered into Cash Count Sheets, which you can customise to suit your sites individual counting requirements.
Entering End Of Period Cash Counts
To enter end of period cash counts into your period:
- Head to Period Management > Periods.
- Against the period, select [CASH PERIOD].
Within the cash period:
- Ensure that the period is in Pending state. (If not, Click Here.)
- Scroll down to the Count Counts section, and against the relevant cash count sheet select [EDIT].
Within the cash count sheet:
- Enter the count against the relevant denominations.
Once the count has been completed, select either:
- [APPROVE] to approve the count for this account.
- [COUNTED] to flag the count as counted, to be approved later on before closing the period.
Repeat for each count sheet within the period until all cash count sheets have been counted and are in Approved state.
Once the count is complete, you can Review Period Results.
