How to build Goosneck Stand
Items you will need:
1 - The surround, which includes keys and the silver screws and washer as standard. This should be the same colour as the iPad used as the till
2 - FK0110
3 - MTB001 (either B or W depending on if the stand you are building is Black (B) or White (W))
4 - A Faceplate (again, colour dependant on the rest of the stand)
You will need to peel the paper cover before use
5 - The Gooseneck (colour dependant)
6 - A silver Centegra sticker (at time of publishing, these are kept in a large envelopee next to the racking in the operations office)
Construction
7 - Take the surround out of the packaging and remove the bag with the keys and the screws and put them to one side
8 - Flip the surround over and stick a silver Centegra sticker onto the back. If you place the surround so the square indent is at the top, middle of the case, the sticker should be placed the right way up as per the image attached.
9 - Flip the surround over again, and using the key provided take the cover off the case and place to one side
To unlock the case, insert the key and rotate, and it will release the cover
10 - Using the rubber guides found in box FK0110, place these on the two pins which are found in each corner. Make sure to ensure the orientation is correct and all corners are facing outwards
11 - Take the faceplate (and if you haven't already, peel the paper off) and place it on top of the guides, lining up the notches along both sides
12 - Place the surround cover back on (the side opposite to the lock and key has two "hooks" that need to slide in first. Once you have places that side in, you should be able to place down the side with the lock and it will sit in place
Remove the key and press in the lock barrel to lock in cover of the case
In the surround, place the keys back in, and put box MTB001 into the gap. Put these all back into the original bag provided (making sure you don't peel the sticker on the back off) and box this all up
13 - Take the Gooseneck out of the white cover it comes in. Also get out the screw and washer set from the surround box
14 - Place the washer on top of the Gooseneck (either end, there is no difference) and line up the holes
Place the Screws in the holes and tighten them (only finger tight, this is just for transportation)
We had an issue where some of the Goosnecks were not pre-drilled correctly, and the screws didn't fit, so we had to buy the same gauge screw but shorter to fit in. If you believe the screws will not fit into the Gooseneck, discuss this with the team before sending it out, as we want to make sure this will all work on site
15 - Put the Gooseneck back in the white sleeve and place it with the surround you have constructed, and this is a Gooseneck stand complete!
Check on the kit list, if it just says an iPad Gooseneck stand, this is all the kit that is needed
If it explicitly specifies heavy bases, you will need to book them out and include them in the kit. Also make sure you have the flat head screws in the MTB001 box as these are needed when attaching the neck to the heavy base
