If you are using scanners with your NCR Silver POS, you will need to add barcodes to your products to enable them to be "scanned" in during the sale.
Adding the barcode.
- Login to NCR Silver and click on "MENU".
- Double click on the product you would like to enable for barcode scanning, then scroll down until you see "Barcode"
- Enter the number that will be printed on the barcode, then click save.
It's worth noting for ease of use, it may be worth using the External ID number as your barcode number if you are starting this process from scratch. It may make it easier to keep on top of from a management point of view.
