Why Would You Want To Do This?
NCR Silver allows you to customise the arrangement of products displayed on the POS. This is useful as categories containing similar products can be placed next to each other, and best selling products be pushed towards the the front making them easier to find.
How To Change Item Order In The Back Office
Changing the ordering in the back office will change all POS connected to that menu.
If your store is a multi-store setup, this is the only way you can change the order
- Click MENU in the NCR Silver Backoffice.
- Select the category you would like to rearrange.
- Select the Sort Order Button.
- You can then drag and drop products where you would like them inside of the category.
- Click "DONE SORTING" to finish or it will not save.
Change Category Order In The Back Office
Repeat the same steps above, but you must click the arrows to move the categories up and down the list.
Again, ensure you click "DONE SORTING" to save.
Change Item Order On The POS Itself.
To rearrange the products on the POS itself, you must be a single store setup.
Click and hold on your products, you will then be prompted with a message to "Rearrange POS Buttons". When you press this, you will be able to drag items around, select DONE when you have finished to save changes, or CANCEL to discard.
Change Category Order On The POS Itself
Similar to above, press and hold on the category names, they will begin to wobble as the items do.
You do not need to click save when changing categories, the effect is immediate. You can also not discard changes, you must reorder them manually.
