User Management
User Account Password Authentication
Password authentication for access to Cinchio back office has been upgraded to strengthen account security even further. As a result, there are some minor changes to the way that user accounts are managed. For more information on this update, Click Here.
Multi-Company Access
For users that require access to multiple companies, your single user account can now be used to access multiple companies. Simply create a user account within each company using the same email address, and you'll be prompted to select a company when logging into Cinchio back office.
Once logged into a company, you can switch between companies at any time using the company picker within the header menu.
Menu Management
Menu Publication: Publish "Now"
To support immediate publication of menus across multiple time zones, when publishing menus you're now prompted whether or not you want to publish the menu now or in the future.
The "Now" option will publish the menus immediately.
The "Future" option will publish the menus at the selected time, where that time is the local time at the selected location(s).
Menu Publication: Site Opening Hours
To reduce the amount of Menu Timing overrides, menu publication now takes into account the Opening Hours set against the site within Cinchio back office.
When publishing a menu, the time that a menu is available each day is based on the following order:
- Menu Timing overrides. If none exist:
- Site Opening Hours. If none exist:
- Default Menu Hours.
Note that Site Opening Hours will only decrease the time that a menu is available; they will not make a menu available outside of the Default Menu Hours.
Example
If a menu is shared across many locations, the Default Menu Hours against that location should have a start time reflecting the time that the earliest site opens and an end time reflecting the time that the latest time closes. When that menu is published to all locations:
- For sites that open later than the default start time, the first menu is not available until the site opens.
- For sites that close earlier than the default end time, the last menu is not available after the site closes.
Menu Timings: Availability & Time Entry
Menu times now have an "Available" toggle to specify whether a menu is available on that day, so you no longer need to remove times if a menu is not available on a specific day of the week (e.g. public holiday).
Availability can be defined within the Default Menu Hours and as a Menu Timing Override.
Additionally, when entering menu times within the Menu and within the Menu Timings section, you can now type in the times in addition to using the time selector, for those that prefer to tab through the table.
Menu Timings: Default Menu Time Changes
Within a menu, Default Menu Times are now defined per day of the week to reduce the need for Menu Timing Overrides when opening hours differ at the weekend, for example.
Menu Timings: Menu Timing Overrides Now In One Place
Previously, Menu Timing Overrides could be applied either within the menu directly or within the Menu Timings section. To improve overall experience in this area, Menu Timing Overrides are now applied within the Menu Timings section only via Menu Management > Menu Timings.
If you're in the menu and need to apply Menu Time Overrides for a specific location and destination, click through the [Timings] button in the Locations & Destinations tab and this will take you into the Menu Timings section filtered to your selected menu, location and destination.
Menu Timings: Menu Timing Override Key
Within the Menu Timings section, times are now colour-coded to highlight:
- Whether the menu is available or unavailable.
- If the time is based off of the Menu Default Time or a Menu Timing Override has been applied.
Menu Timings Key
Menu Timings: New Group By Option
When viewing Menu Times within the Menu Timings section, you can can now select whether to group the times based on Destination, Site or Location.
Within the table, menu times are then grouped together based on your selection to make checking and updating menu times easier.
Menu Timings: Changes When Applying Overrides
Within the Menu Timings section, to apply overrides against an individual day you can:
- Adjust the times by using the time picker or by typing in the times.
- Select the three dots against the time to:
- If currently available by default, apply an override to make the day unavailable.
- If currently unavailable by default, apply an override to make the day available.
- Remove all overrides to revert to using Menu Default Times.
To apply overrides against all days within the week you can select the three dots against the row to:
- Apply an override to make all days in the week either available or unavailable.
- Remove all overrides to revert to using Menu Default Times.
Menu Timings: Copy Menu Timing Overrides
Within the Menu Timings section, you can copy times and availability from one row and apply these as overrides against other rows within the table.
