Introduction
If your company uses Yoyo for gift cards, Centegra Plus can be integrated along with the POS to update Yoyo gift card balances when they are presented at the POS.
With the Yoyo gift card integration:
- A gift card scanned at the POS is passed through to Centegra Plus and is validated. The valid request is then passed on to Yoyo to check the gift card status and balance.
- Yoyo confirm if the gift card is active and respond with the gift card balance. The gift card balance is passed down to the POS and used as full or part payment against the basket of items.
- Once the transaction is closed, the basket associated with the gift card is passed back to Yoyo.

Configuration
For any new Yoyo Integration, Centegra will complete the configuration required within Centegra Plus for you. We may require some credentials from you from within Yoyo along the way.
Troubleshooting & FAQs
How Are Gift Cards Used At The POS?
Typically, each gift card has a barcode / QR code associated with it in the form of a physical card or mobile application, which can be read at the POS. The POS then communicates with Yoyo via Centegra Plus to update the balance when the gift card is topped up or is used to pay for items.
The method at the POS varies per system. For more information, see:
The Gift Card Isn't Recognised At The POS.
If a gift card scanned at the POS is not recognised, first check that the POS is online.
Then, Click Here to check that the Centegra Plus API is fully operational, and check Yoyo to ensure that their API is also fully operational.
Next, check to make sure that your API key for Yoyo is active. To do this:
- Head to Company Settings > External Access & FTP > API Secure Keys.
- Locate Yoyo Gift Card in the list, and check that the key is enabled. (For more details, Click Here.)
