To configure an existing Dashboard View:
- Head to Reports & Analysis > Dashboards > Manage Dashboard Views.
- Locate the required Dashboard View and select [EDIT].
Within the existing Dashboard View, you can:
- Define Dashboard Settings
- Assign The Dashboard To Users
- Add & Manage Dashboard Sections
- Add & Manage Dashboard Widgets
Ensure that you select [SAVE] to save any changes before leaving the Dashboard View.

Define Dashboard Settings
Within an existing dashboard, the following options are available to define:
- Dashboard Name: The name seen within the dashboard, main menu and dashboard exports.
- Default Dashboard Date: Select whether the dashboard should default to show sales for either Today or Yesterday when first accessed.
- Dashboard Description: Enter a brief description of the dashboard, if required.
Assign The Dashboard To Users
To specify which user roles have access to view the dashboard, at the bottom of the dashboard select [ASSIGN DASHBOARD].
In the Dashboard User Roles window, you can:
- View existing user roles assigned to the dashboard.
- Select new user roles from the list and then select [Add User Role] to assign to the dashboard.
- Remove user roles from the dashboard by selecting the delete icon.
Any user assigned to a selected user role will see the dashboard listed within the main menu under Reports & Analysis > Dashboards.
Add & Manage Dashboard Sections
A dashboard can be split into multiple sections, to group together widgets in a logical way.
To add a new section, at the bottom of the dashboard select [ADD SECTION].
Within the new section, you can define the following settings:
- Section Name: Define a name for the section to be seen within the dashboard output and exports.
- Section Description: If required, enter a brief description of what is contained within the section.
You can then add widgets into the section, as covered in the next section of this article.
If required, sections can be repositioned using the drag-and-drop icon on the right, or the delete icon can be selected to remove the section permanently.
Add & Manage Dashboard Widgets
Within a dashboard section, you can add a widget by selecting [ADD WIDGET] at the bottom of that section.
Within the Widget Setup window:
- Select Widget: Select which widget you want to add into the dashboard section.
- Widget Name: If required, override the name of the widget with one of your choosing.
- Widget Description: If required, enter a brief description of what the widget is showing users viewing the dashboard.
Depending on the selected widget, there may be more options available to select. For more information on each individual widget, Click Here.
Once the widget options have been defined, select [Add Widget].
Within the dashboard section you'll now see a placeholder for the new widget. Here, you can:
- Drag-and-drop the widget into the required position within that section.
- Select the edit icon to adjust the settings against the widget.
- Select the delete icon to remove the widget from the dashboard permanently.
