MyVenue - How to Log In & Out

There are multiple ways to log in and out of your POS dependant on your setup:

• With an ID & Password
• With Swipe Cards
• Using the Fast Login buttons

ID & Passwords

To log in using your ID and Password:

• Tap on the 'Login' field to open the on-screen keypad, then enter your provided ID.
• If you have been given a password for your login, enter it in the 'Password' field. If not, leave this field empty.
• To switch between numerical and alphanumeric keypads, tap on the green arrow on the keypad
• Tap 'Ok' to log in.
  

Swipe Cards

To log in using a swipe card:

• Locate the card reader (commonly found to the right of the device), if you are unsure where your card reader is, please see the guide for your POS.
• With the black stripe facing towards you, swipe the card downwards
• This will automatically log you in.

Fast Login

Fast login allows you to quickly select your login throughout the day instead of entering your login number. If this is enabled, then:

• You must have logged in once before via one of the previous methods
• Once you have logged in, you will now see your clerk account on the login screen.
• To log in again using the fast login, simply tap on your login name.

Removing Fast Login

To remove your fast login button from the login page, simply tap on the exit symbol as highlighted below. This will remove the Fast Login button and will require the user to re-enter their login details again for it to re-appear.

Logging Out

Depending on your setup, there are various ways to log out:

• Automatically being logged out after each transaction
• Automatically being logged out after a set amount of idle time
• Manually logging out

Logging out will only return you to the attendant log-in screen, this does not end the financial day.  To log out:

• Tap on the 'MyVenue' logo in the top left corner of the screen.

You will then see a drop-down menu, tap on 'Login / Logout', you will then be logged out and returned to the Login screen.

Unable to Logout

If you encounter the message 'Cannot logout while an order is active' when attempting to log out, simply return to your POS screen and finish your transaction as that user. You will then be able to logout.
