Introduction
The Menu Management module has been upgraded with many new features to help make managing your menus centrally even easier when building menus for delivery, kiosk and click & collect platforms.
In some cases, new features may be user rights protected, therefore your company's Centegra Plus administrator may need to Update User Roles to grant access to some of these new features.
Contact Centegra for more information on any of these updates or the Menu Management module.

Menu Item Actions Redesign
Additional tools are now available against individual items within a menu. Therefore, buttons available on each row have been redesigned to help navigate these options easily;
Against each menu item, the following buttons are available:
Select to view prices of the product on price levels associated with the menu. (See Below)
Select to view more actions available to update the menu item.
Select to drag and drop the menu item to the relevant position within the category |
Product Pricing Within Menus
Prices for products in menus are defined against price levels, which are managed within Centegra Plus using standard Price Update methods.
As well as this, you can now manage prices within the menu too.
Against the relevant row, select the pricing button to expand the row to see pricing information like this:
The prices shown here are those which are set against prices levels which are associated with the menu as per the menu destinations assigned to the menu.
From here, you can edit the price of the product on the price level directly from within the menu:
(This updates the price level price, so will affect other areas if the price level is used elsewhere.)
Default Menu Product Name
Often, a products name as you know it internally can differ to the name that the customer should see.
In situations where a product exists on various menus, you can now define a Product Menu Name for external menu use against the product like so:
If defined, when the product is added into a menu the menu product name will automatically populate with this external product name like so:
The external product name can still be adjusted within individual menus, if required.
Menu Item Category Reassignment
If you need to change which category an item is assigned to, you no longer need to remove the product from the menu and add it back in again.
Against the existing menu item, simply select the actions button then select Reassign Category:
Select the category that the menu item should move to and then save:
Assign Different Images Per Menu Destination
Different platforms can have a different image resolution requirements for product images. Against a product, you can now upload multiple product images to use when this product exists within menus.
Each image can be assigned menu destinations to specify which image is sent when menus containing this product get published to each platform.
An image can also be flagged as the default image to use if a menu destination has not yet been assigned against an image.
Menu Category Updates
Category Modifier Groups
Against categories, there is now the option to assign modifier groups:
When assigning modifier groups to categories, select the required modifier groups from the list and use the drag-and-drop icons to define the order that they should be in.
Later when adding a new item to the menu, the items modifier groups will automatically populate with those assigned to the selected category as below. They can be adjusted at this point, if required.
Additionally, if modifier groups are assigned to a category, you can update the assignment of modifier group against all items within the category using the [REASSIGN MODIFIER GROUPS] option against the category:
You'll need to confirm this action, as this overrides the modifier group assignment of all items within the category. However, modifier groups against individual items can be adjusted again after if required.
Category Images
Images can now be assigned to categories for use on platforms that support category images.
Against a category, select [UPLOAD IMAGE] and either upload an image directly against the category, or assign the public URL of the image if the image is hosted outside of Centegra Plus.
Once assigned, select [EDIT IMAGE] against the category to preview the image, or to remove the image:
Menu Modifier Updates
Modifier Items Within Menus
Modifiers against products in menus are defined within modifier groups, which are managed within Centegra Plus within the Modifier Groups section.
In addition to modifier group assignment against menu items, you now have more visibility of modifiers contained within those modifier groups from within the menu.
When viewing modifiers assigned to a menu, the name of the modifier group is now a link which can be selected to open the full modifier group in a new tab in your browser, to update as required:
Additionally, each modifier group can be expanded to see the modifiers assigned to that group, and the order that they will show in when presented to the customer:
Modifier Item Pricing Within Menus
Prices for modifier group products in menus are defined against price levels, which are managed within Centegra Plus using standard Price Update methods.
In addition to the Modifier Items Within Menus update above, you can now also manage prices against modifiers within the menu too.
Against the relevant modifier within the modifier group, select the pricing button to expand the row to see pricing information like this:
The prices shown here are those which are set against prices levels which associated with the menu as per the menu destinations assigned to the menu.
From here, you can edit the price of the modifier product on the price level directly from within the menu:
(This updates the price level price, so will affect other areas if the price level is used elsewhere.)
Modifier Option To Select An Item Multiple Times
The Pick Same Option Multiple Times option within modifier groups can now be used for menus published to Deliveroo, Just Eat and Uber Eats.
When selecting multiple modifiers within the modifier group, this option allows the customer to select the same items multiple times on each platform.
Menu Site & Destination Updates
Visibility Of Menu Start & End Times
A new section is available via Menu Management > Menu Timings which provides visibility of start and end times across multiple menus for selected sites:
A visual indication is included to distinguish between instances where the default menu times are being used (which are highlighted) and where overrides have been assigned to adjust the menu times. For example below, the menu time has been override to end later on Friday at this site:
Within this section, click into the relevant field to update the menu start time or end time, or select the delete icon against the relevant day to remove the times if the menu should be unavailable.
Note that you will need to Update User Roles to grant access to this new section where applicable.
Include Site & Destinations When Copying Menus
When copying a menu, you'll now be prompted where or not to include Sites & Destinations assignment within the new menu being created:
If this option is selected, the new menu will inherit Site & Destination assignment from the current menu, including price level and menu time overrides.
Visibility Of Default Destination Settings
Within the Sites & Destinations tab in the Fulfilment & Pricing settings, if an override has not been assigned and the default settings are being used (as per the menu destination settings) then the default setting is now shown beneath the relevant field(s), so you have visibility of what the default setting is:
Other Menu Updates
Menu Name Added To Menu Builder Form
Within the menu builder form, we've added the menu name so you can check that you're making changes to the correct menu:
Deliveroo: Added Menu Description Capability
Restaurant/menu description capability has been introduced for the Deliveroo menu destination.
Within the menu, against the Default Menu Subtitle you can enter a description about your menu or about your restaurant:
When this menu is published to the Deliveroo menu destination, the description entered is visible to customers at the top of your menu:
